A journalist by trade, olasconola is inspired by music from around the world that evokes tropical energy and the ebb and flow of life, weaving stories of heritage, experience and emotion in every wave. Ola curates and hosts two monthly radio residencies; her open format mix show, Antique Rules, on Half Moon Radio (Brooklyn, NY), and Sound Travels, a podcast produced by her consulting space & media platform, Sonic Fold, broadcast via Jolt Radio (Miami, FL) highlighting community cultivators and their layered, personal connections with records that go beyond the crates. With her friend and fellow DJ, Juana Go-gó, she is the co-founder/producer of Sonic Sancocho - a live music series celebrating Latin culture, cuisine and community.
